It’s hard to think of an African celebration that would be complete without the sound of an African drum. Even in modern day Africa, even at the inauguration of presidents, even when welcoming political allies from abroad, its hard to miss the sound of drumming. Indeed, celebration is hardly a celebration if there isn’t African drums to beat out the sound of the music.
